제목 DIETHYNYLBENZENE-BASED LIQUID CRYSTALLINE SEMICONDUCTOR FOR SOLUTION PROCESSABLE OTFTs
초록 Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) have attracted much attention in recent years because of their potential as a cheap alternative for the current silicon-based thin film transistors. The solubility of the semiconducting materials and the stability of their device at ambient temperature are important to develop promising OTFTs. It has been shown that efficient OTFT materials need to possess good π-π stacking structures in the solid state. For the design of new OTFT materials we have considered the advantage of liquid crystalline compounds to form well-ordered thin films by self assembly. Molecule was designed such that the side-chain provided adequate solubility and the film forming properties do not interfere with the ability of molecule to π-stack. Diethynylbenzene-based compound P1 was synthesized and its liquid crystalline and semiconducting behaviors were studied.
