Graphene Oxide/Metal Nanohybrids as Optical Biosensors for Sensitive Detection of Neurotransmitter |

Herein, we present graphene oxide (GO)/metal nanohybrids for detection of neurotransmitters secreted from living cells. GO nanohybrids show intense photoluminescence (PL) in visible range and their PL exhibits different quenching kinetics to metals, which leads to selective response to a specific neurotransmitter. GO nanohybrids are very colloidal-stable and show no cytotoxicity in cells. Finally, GO nanohybrids were successfully applied to selective detection of norepinephrine secreted from living cells. |
