제목 Influence of Diffusion Layer on PEMFC Performance
초록 Diffusion layers in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) usually consist of diffusion media (DM ) as carbon paper , carbon cloth and other porous material and micro layer (ML), which are the passage where reactant gases and humidifying water are transported to catalyst layer. Herein, effects of carbon paper thickness on cell performance are investigated. BP2000 carbon black is employed in diffusion layer. Experimental results indicated that TGPH-090 carbon paper with medium thickness has the best property to be used as DM. PEMFC using BP2000 carbon black as ML exhibited the best performance after comparing Vulcan XC 72 and acetylene carbon black. The optimal quantity of BP2000 carbon powder is about 2mg/cm2. The improvements of cell performance were caused by decreasing resistance .
