Over the last decade, tremendous progress has been achieved in development of solution-processable organic semiconductors as active layer with high performance in the field of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Despite various researches and attempts to molecular design and optimizing device fabrication, critical challenges still remain that organic semiconducting materials are required to high charge carrier mobility. In order to enhance charge carrier mobility with organic semiconducting materials, highly planar moieties have been incorporated into the backbones for maximizing intra- and inter-chain charge transport. For this purpose, we developed a new moiety which has high planarity and rigidity thorough double bond linkage between aromatic rings. In this research, alternating copolymers based on a new moiety were synthesized via Stille polymerization and OFET devices were fabricated to measure their electrical properties. |
