제목 Silane Water Repellents to Improve Concrete Durability
초록 The properties of surface treatment materials, silanes, for the protection of absorption on concrete surface were investigated. The hydrophobic surfaces treated with many different kinds of silanes (such as the number of halogen ion, length of alkyl chains and functional groups on the silanes) were characterized through contact angle and depth of water penetration tests. For instance, the water contact angle on the hydrophobic surface of concrete coated by n-octytriethoxysilane solution was 135.5° and depth of water penetration was 5mm. Moreover, the silane coating exhibits both improved adhesion and compatibility with upper water-based waterproofing coating.
