Vertical Alignment of Carbon Nanotubes attached Magnetic Particles to use E-beam evaporator |

Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have emerged as one of the most promising electron field emitters due to their high aspect ratio, high emission current and chemical stability. Practical applications require that CNTs can be aligned vertically at large-scale low magnetic field. The assembly of CNTs dotting magnetic particles is one of the most challenging tasks in the fabrication and mass production of CNT electronic devices. The magnetic particles were attached to the CNTs during termal reaction precess. The CNTs dotting magnetic particles were aligned at the magnetic field on ITO glass. We used the E-beam evaporator for fixing the CNTs attached metal particles. TEM and SEM revealed the CNTs attached magnetic particles and the vertical alignment of carbon nanotubes. |
