Lead Iodide Perovskite Granular Wire Photodetectors with High Detectivity and Photoresponsivity |

We demonstrate the first results showing the facile cost-effective template-free two-step strategy for fabrication of CH3NH3PbI3 based perovskite granular wires (PGWs) and high-performance photodetectors. Our systematic study has shown that the PGW photodetectors have high internal gain and responsivity at low bias with the best reported detectivity (3.17 × 1015 Jones) based on perovskite materials to date. Furthermore, we present the successful patterned area attached perovskite PGWs for 8 x 8 integrated photosensor arrays that were able to detect incident photonic signals with high resolution. The reported process can be used for scalable fabrication of high-performance electronic and optoelectronic devices. The results clearly showed that PGWs are very promising materials for constructing high-performance photodetectors, and they warrant exploration for use in other electronic applications. |
