Hydrophilic poly(vinylidene difluoride) membranes were prepared using chemical modification and sulfonation. Chemical reagents were used to modify PVDF films and improve the hydrophilicity and it was presented by optimization and characterization of the prepared membranes. Degree of defluorination were controlled by varying the potassium hydroxide concentration. Furthermore, The sulfonation of PVDF and degree of performance were presented by using sulfonic acid. The effects of surface modification was analyzed by FT-IR, HNMR and SEM. The general properties of hydrophilic membranes was compared by ion exchange capacity (IEC), water content and ion conductivity. |
