제목 Preparation of Bio-Nanocomposites from Multifunctionalized Plant Resin and MWNTs
초록 Because of high priced petroleum oil and environmental concerns, the commercial utilization of biopolymers from renewable natural resources has been actively studied. Multifunctional triglyceride, which is a main component of plant oil, is produced with active sites. Acrylated epoxidized soybean oil (AESO) and maleinized AESO were prepared. In order to overcome self-aggregation of carbon nanotubes, MWNTs-COOH and MWNTs-OH was prepared using concentrated HNO3 and tetrapropyl ammonium bromide (TPABr) as a phase transfer catalyst with KMnO4. Increased dispersibility of MWNTs was observed during copolymerization, because the miscibility between soybean oil and functionalized MWNTs was considerably enhanced. The dispersibility, thermo-mechanical properties and the electrical conductivity of the composites were investigated.
