제목 Recent Progress in Developing Low Band-Gap Polymers for Organic Photovoltaics and Thin Film Transistors
초록 Recently conjugated semiconducting polymers have been drastically developed for organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic thin film transistors (OTFTs), and organic photovoltaics (OPVs) because of their advantages such as low cost, light weight, flexibility and facile processing and manipulation. Some serious limitations for present OPV devices are due to the relatively low mobility of charge carriers in the organic semiconductors and the narrow absorption bands. One of widely used approaches in order to solve these problems is developing push-pull polymers with alternating electron rich and electron poor units. Our group has been also pursuing to design and synthesize new low band-gap polymers based on diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) and benzotriazole molecules with different donors for tuning their band-gaps and improving photovoltaic performance.
