Effect of Mg solute content on the hot workability of Al-Mg alloys |
초록 |
Al-Mg alloys have great properties in automobile and aerospace industries, because of their high corrosion resistance, light weight, and its moderate strength. In this study, the workability of high content of Mg aluminum alloys (Al-6Mg, Al-8Mg, Al-9Mg) were obtained by microstructure characterization and processing maps. Hot torsion tests were conducted in the range of 350~500°C, between 0.1 and 1s-1. Constitutive equations were derived from various effective stress-strain curves, obtained thermal activation energy were 171kJ/mol at Al-6Mg, 195kJ/mol at Al-8Mg, 220kJ/mol at Al-9Mg respectively. In the case of processing maps, which was obtained by Lyapunov criterion shows instability region caused by porosity, and flow localization. The pore generation and growth are increased as the Mg content rises. This tendency increases with arising temperature and shows ductility minimum temperature(DMT) at 450°C. |
