제목 Effects of Gamma-ray Irradiation on the Microporous HDPE Membranes manufactured by Soybean Oil
초록 In this study, we examined the effects of a gamma-ray irradiation on the microporous high density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane to increase the mechanical property and the thermal stability of the membrane. Soybean oil and dibuthyl phthalate (DBP) were premixed as a codiluent. The mixed films were uni-axially stretched, and then were irradiated by gamma rays. We measured the thermal and mechanical properties of the membrane using a tensile strength and a thermal shrinkage. It was found that the thermal-mechanical properties of the irradiated membrane depended on the gamma-ray irradiation dose.
