제목 Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica having Large Heterocyclic tri-Urea Bridging Groups Derived from Melamine
초록 Herein, we have synthesized a novel heterocyclic tri-urea bridging group that is 1,1',1''-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl)tris(3-(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)urea) precursor, to incorporate it into the silica framework of periodic mesoporous Organosilica (PMO). The hub of this bridging group is an isocynurate ring integrated with three triethoxysilyls through flexible propyl chains. A novel series of melamine containing PMO were synthesized by self assembly of synthesized precursor, tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and triblock copolymer pluronic P123 under acidic conditions. The synthesized materials were thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, infra-red spectroscopy, 29Si and 13C CP-MAS NMR spectroscopies, N2- sorption isotherm and TG-DTA analysis. The materials were further studied as attractive adsorbents for heavy metals ions through chelating properties of the tri-urea isocynurate bridging groups.
