PA/PPO/CNT nanocomposites |

Polyamide(PA) has been used in many applications. Especially Polyamide(PA)/Polyphenyleneoxide (PPO) blends have been applied to various automobile parts. It is expected that mechanical properties of PA/PPO/carbon-nanotube(CNT) nanocomposites can be improved by using aromatic PA having higher chemical and heat resistance than aliphatic PA. Nanocomposites of PA/PPO blends with a varying composition of SEBS-MA and CNT were prepared by melt mixing in a twin-screw extruder. Mechanical properties of PA/PPO/CNT nanocomposites were characterized with universal testing machine(UTM). Percolation threshold of electrical conductivity was measured by digital multimeter. Phase behavior was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and morphology were observed by SEM and TEM. |
