제목 Effect of Activated Carbon Electrode Properties on Energy Recovery in Capacitive Deionization Process
초록 Energy consumption is a key factor in desalination process. Capacitive deionizzation (CDI) process has attractive advantage in terms of low energy consumption since partial energy to operate the system can be recovered during discharging step. We can store the recovered energy in electronic storage media or directly utilize to purify water. This makes the energy efficiency of CDI process increasing. In this study, highly efficient CDI process with energy recovery system was constructed. Effect of activated carbon electrode properties on energy recovery efficiency was investigated and discussed. This research serves as a useful guide for developing the efficient CDI process.
