Recently, the environmental contamination have been becoming the issue of important with a global warming. Researchs are progressing to reduce this problem. Ion exchange membrane is applying from the various field. Currently, the ion exchange membranes, that we are using, depend on the import. SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene) is low price and have a good mechanical, physical and chemical resistance. In this study, the sulfonated SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene) cation-exchange membranes was prepared by sulfonation at the benzene ring of SBS membrane. The SBS membranes was prepared for using solvent-casting method. Existence of sulfonated group at the prepared confirmed by FT-IR, and then the basic property of membrane was confirmed by degree of sulfonation(DS), water uptake, ion-exchange capacity and electrical property. |
