제목 | Ionomer binders for direct nitrogen based liquid fuel cells |
초록 | Anion conducting ionomers are the polymers where anion exchangeable fixed groups are covalently attached to main backbones where the hydroxyl ion movement in membrane-electrode assemblies mitigates overpotential for oxygen reduction reaction as well as water flooding at cathode. In this study, poly(phenylene oxide) were brominated and in-situ quaternized by trimethyl ammonium during membrane casting. The polymer was frozen by aqueous nitrogen and was ground by a blade-type grinder. In addition the effect of solvent systems to disperse polymers on half cell performance was investigated. The powder was characterized in terms of ion conductivity, ion exchange capacity, and dynamic light scattering.
