A high efficiency red phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PHOLEDs) using phosphine oxide derivatives as a host material |
초록 |
We have designed and synthesized a new red phosphorescent host material based on the phosphine oxide moiety. The highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest occupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of the 2',7'-bis(diphenylphosphoryl)spiro[benzofluorene-7,9'-fluorene] (SPPO21) were 6.12 eV and 2.57 eV, respectively. The triplet energy level of SPPO21 was calculated to be 2.32 eV. The red phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PHOLEDs) were fabricated using the SPPO21 based emitting layer doped with iridium(III) bis(2-phenylquinoline) acetylacetonate. A high quantum efficiency of 19.3% with a current efficiency of 31.1 cd/A was achieved in the SPPO21 red PHOLEDs at 2% doping concentration due to good energy transfer from host to red dopant. |
