The synthesis of oxovanadium(ⅴ) phthalocyanine complexes (VOPc) has been conducted under microwave irradiation. Because thermal and non-thermal effect of microwaves can accelerate chemical reaction, the reaction time and energy input are supposed to be mostly reduced, compared to the reactions that are run for a long time at high temperatures under conventional method. We tried to replace hydrogen to phenol, naphthol or trityl phenol in the outer benzene of phthalocyanine structure. The introduction of substituent at the site of α,β enhance the solubility of VOPc and caused absorption peak (Q-band) to be further shifted into red region. |
