It is well-know that ascorbic acid promotes cell differetiation. Hence, we incorporated L-Ascorbic acid into the calcium phosphate thin films. SEM micrographs displayed that the calcium phosphate films were highly porous. The physical properties such as surface roughness, morphology and semiquantitative analysis of elements were evaluated using AFM, SEM and EDS. In order to examine the cellular responses to the films with different L-Ascorbic acid concentrations, we performed cellular proliferation assay. In addition, we conducted RT-PCR to observe mark gene expression. |
