Y-type zeolite membranes for CO2 separation were prepared by hydrothermal process. As supports for Y-type zeolites films, two kinds of tubular porous alumina tubes of which average pore diameters were 0.2 and 0.8um, respectively, were applied. The outer diameter of the two tubular alumina was around 10mm. Y-type zeolite films were formed on the Alumina supports by hydrothermally treating the supports in hydrothermal solutions where water glass, sodium aluminate, sodium hydroxide and water were mixed up. In the present study, the effect of hydrothermal conditions (temperature, time, addition amount of Si and Al source materials, Si/Al molar ratio, addition amount of NaOH, heterogeneous nucleation site and ion exchange) on the formation behavior of Y-type zeolite films on the alumina support will be investigated. |
