제목 | A study on adsorption of benzene-nitrogen and toluene-nitrogen binary mixture-gas |
초록 | Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) represented causing materials of air pollutions are not only the major cause of photochemical smog but also cancerogenic substances, the effects of earth greenhouse, the source that destroy stratospheric ozonic layer, odoric materials in the air and so on. Because VOCs are also known to the materials given our life direct damages, we must prepare positive regulations and management. This study was carried out as a basic experiment for development of adsorption process that removes VOCs. Static volumetric method was used for benzene-nitrogen and toluene-nitrogen binary mixture gas. After Langmuir isotherm parameters were obtained from static volumetric method for each component and the results were applied to Extended Langmuir isotherm. Experimental technique used in this study only requires pressure measurement and this technique is different from the conventional method which measures gas mole compositions before adsorption and after adsorption. The experimental results obtained from this new technique were well fitted to Extended Langmuir isotherm. |
