Ensemble and ligand effect on PdAu catalyzed formic acid dehydrogenation |

The combination of two metals often promotes the catalytic performance compared to their single usages. Gold has known to enhance the catalytic activity and selectivity of palladium catalyzed formic acid dehydrogenation. In this talk, we present the effect of gold addition on the palladium catalyzed formic acid dehydrogenation by experimental and computational studies. The perturbation of d-band structure (ligand effect) and the variation of surface palladium arrangement (ensemble effect) were evidenced to affect catalytic activity. |
