제목 Photocarrier Mobility of Novle Polymers Using Time-of-Flight
초록 Charge transport in conjugated, semiconducting polymers has been the subject of extensive study due to their application in novel opto-electronic devices such as polymer light emitting diodes, polymer field effect transistors, photovoltaic devices, etc. It has been shown that charge carrier mobility of these polymers depends on both electric field and temperature. The observed charge transport properties are often described within the framework of disorder formalism suggested by Bässler1.
In this study, Poly(10-hexyl phenothiazine-alt-9-hexyl carbazole) and Poly(10-hexyl phenothiazine-alt-triphenylamine) as new charge transportable polymers were synthesized and charge carrier mobility was measured by Time-of-flight method in which the charge carriers are photoindused by N2 laser with the wavelength of 337nm. The experimental results can be explained by the disorder formalism. The formalism assumes that the distribution of hopping sites energies and the intersite distances is Gaussian. The critical parameters are s, the width of the Gaussian density of states, and Σ, the parameter characterizing the degree of the positional disorder. The electric field and temperature dependence of the mobility of these polymers were described well by two parameters.
