Superhydrophobicity has been recently drawn a great deal of attention from both fundamental and practical application points of view due to recognition of its potential application in various areas such as weather resistant fabrics and garments, anti-fogging glass for vehicle windshields and display panels, and self-cleaning for outdoor optical devices, etc. Recent development in fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces can be categorized in two different strategies; minimizing surface energy and controlling surface morphology on the substrates. In this work, we fabricated superhydrophobic surfaces by the control of morphology with inorganic nano-materials in hydrophobic polymer matrix and characterized their surface properties using water contact angle, SEM, AFM, and XPS, etc. |
