제목 Property Change of Continuous Polyacrylonitrile(PAN) Nano-filament by Immersion in Water
초록 Electrospinning and stretching have been applied to prepare uni-axially aligned continuous nano-filaments made of PAN. The concentration of PAN solution, the applied voltage, and the stretching speed, were 12wt%, 11kV, 0.5m/sec respectively. We had obtained the continuous yarns of the bulk diameter of 15m. The obtained yarns consisted of about 100 nano-filaments with mean diameter of 500nm. The tensile properties were measured after the drying of these filaments at temperature of 120°C for 24hrs. The measured tensile modulus and tensile strength were 7.3GPa and 160MPa. These dried filaments had been immersed in water of RT for 84hrs. After the immersion, the filaments had been re-dried during 2, 12, and 24hrs. The tensile properties of these re-dried filaments were measured again. The immersion in water and re-drying caused the loss of tensile properties. The maximum loss was at the range of 50%.
