Silver particle synthesis by flame spray pyrolysis |

The flame spray pyrolysis is a kind of variation of the conventional spray pyrolysis. The flame spray pyrolysis was applied to the synthesis of ceramic powder which has the different characteristics from the conventional spray pyrolysis. Because of the strongly oxidizing characteristics of the flame, the flame spray pyrolysis was usually applied to the synthesis of the oxide ceramic materials. And it is difficult for the product to experience the reductive atmosphere in the flame spray pyrolysis. Silver particles were prepared by the conventional spray pyrolysis in reducing atmosphere as well as oxidizing atmosphere. In this work, the flame spray pyrolysis was applied to the synthesis of non-oxide silver particles. And the effects of the preparation conditions on the characteristics of product silver particles were investigated. |
