제목 Synthesis and Polymerization Properties of Polymethylene Bridged Dinuclear Constrained Geometry Titanium Catalysts
초록 There is currently a considerable interest in the synthesis of a new type of Constrained Geometry Catalysts(CGC) derived from the ansa-metallocene by replacement of one of the cyclopentadienyl rings by two-electron-donor amido group. These compounds provide highly active systems that produce ethylene/α-olefin copolymerization with remarkable properties. In this research, a series of polymethylene bridged dinuclear Constrained Geometry Titanium Catalysts have been synthesized by treating the tetra lithium salts of the respective dinuclear ligands with two equivalents of TiCl3(THF)3 in THF followed by the oxidation with one equivalent of AgCl. All complexes are characterized by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. Ethylene/styrene copolymerization has been conducted in the presence of modified methylaluminoxane(MAO) and the polymerization behavior was analyzed with respect to catalytic activity and thermal properties of the produced copolymer. It turned out that the dinuclear CGC shoewd a similar copolymerization property to the corresponding mononuclear Dow CGC in ethylene-styrene copolymerization. The dinuclear CGC containing longer bridging ligand exhibits higher polymerization activity.
