제목 Synthesis and Photoinitiated Radical Polymerization of Silicone containing Acrylamide
초록 The synthesis of N-triisopropylsilyloxyethylacrylamide(NSA) was carried out in high yields by the condensation reaction of the N-hydroxyethylacrylamide with chlorotriisopropylsilane. This novel silicone containing acrylamide undergo rapid photoinitiated radical polymerization using Igacure651 as a photoinitiator. Photoinitiated radical polymerization of silicone containing monomer was undertaken using photoinitiator, Igacure651 at a concentration 0.5~1 mol% to the monomer. The rate of polymerization and conversions to polymer are increased as the increase in concentration of the photoinitiator.  
A series of water-swollen hydrogels were prepared from 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate and NSA. AIBN was used as an initiator for polymerization. Analyzing the water contents and contact angles of the hydrogels, we found the contents of silicone containing monomer increased, water content decreased and contact angles increased.
