2-Aminoanthracene was synthesized via reduction of 2-aminoanthraquinone with sodium hydroxide and zinc dust. 2-Aminoanthracene terminated aramid oligomers with controlled molecular weights, was prepared via direct polymerization of terephthaloyl dichloride, 2-cyano-1,4-phenylenediamine, and 2-sulfonated-1,4-phenylenediamine, 1,4-phenylenedimine, with the endcapper, 2-aminoanthracene. Membrane was prepared by crosslinking oligomers via Diels-Alder reaction of terminated anthracene units. Characterization of the membranes will be reported |
