The membranehas been commonly used for ion exchange membrane, desalination of brackish water, medical part and recovery of valuable metals from effluents.It has limited to the ion exchange capacity and life time during the treatment to large process and high concentration solution. Especially, It is too difficults to preparate SBS membrane because ofinherent properties.In this work, the sulfonated ion exchange membrane was prepared by blending with styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock resin and polystyrene. Their properties, water uptake, degree of sulfonation, ion exchange capacity and porosity, were investigated by titration and instrumental analysis. |
