제목 Bimetallic Nanoclusters with Anisotropic Polymer Shell for Photonics-based Biosensing
초록 Bimetallic hybrid nanostructures have gained interest for a variety of biomedical applications because of anisotropic distribution of functionalities and unique optical properties. We report herein synthesis and characterization of the bimetallic nanoclusters with anisotropic polymer shell as advanced functional nanoprobes for photonics-based biosensing. The bimetallic nanoclusters were prepared in a core-shell form by the homogeneous aggregation of metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) as the core, followed by simultaneous reduction of metals and one-directional growth of polymer shell. As characterized by UV-Vis absorption, dynamic light scattering, zeta-potential and transmission electron microscopy, they showed the highly enhanced optical properties as compared to those of the anisotropic bimetallic nanoparticles without any clustered structures. Conclusively, these bimetallic nanoclusters would be useful as advanced functional nanoprobes for photonics-based biosensing.
