제목 Increase in power conversion efficiency of organic photovoltaics by incorporation of a phenyl compound in P3HT:PCBM active layer
초록 In this study, a phenyl compound (FCP) was applied as an additive to P3HT:PCBM-based organic photovoltaics (OPVs) to improve device efficiency. OPVs with the configuration of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM with or without FCP/LiF/Al were fabricated, and their photovoltaic properties were investigated. The incorporation of a small amount of FCP to the P3HT:PCBM blend films resulted in a considerable improvement in power conversion efficiency (PCE). The annealed device with FCP additive showed an enhancement in PCE, compared to the reference device without FCP. Meanwhile, the PCE of the non-annealed OPV with FCP was also improved from the device without FCP, due to the increase in open circuit voltage, fill factor and short circuit current.
