In this work, porous carbons were synthesized by a series of the chemical activation method with different heating rate in order to investigate the influence of heating rate on the pore development. Potassium hydroxide was used as a chemical agent with 1:4 of precursor:KOH weight ratio, and the activation temperature was fixed at 900℃. Heating rates were varied in the range from 0.5 to 20℃/min to investigate mesopore developing behaviors. The pore structure was analyzed by N2/77K adsorption isotherms. Specific surface areas and total pore volumes were measured by BET and D-R equations, respectively. Mesopore volumes of the samples were analyzed by the BJH equation. |
