Fluorescence quenching studies of triazine modified PPVs |

New triazine modified poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s were synthesized using a diformyl derivative of s-triazine and 2,5-bis (bromotriphenylphosphoniummethyl) derivatives via polycondensation. Polymerizations were carried in presence of potassium tert-butoxide and chain transfer agents. The resultant polymers showed high fluorescence. Dynamic and static quenching of the fluorescence from the polymer solution were observed depending on the quencher. Electro and chemo-sensing possibility of the modified polymer will be discussed |
