Syntheis of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene)-b-poly(4-vinyl pyridine) copolymer for a photovoltalic solar cell |
초록 |
Regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) take an important roll in organic photovoltaic solar cell as a p-type conductor. the material displays stable and high electrical conductivity. In spite of its superior electrical properties, P3HT does not shows good miscibility with n-type conductors such as Phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM), CdSe, and CdS, and does not exhibit good processing properties. R. D. McCullough group addressed these issues by integrating poly(3-hexyl thiophene) in copolymer structures with various polymer blocks. The group synthesized poly(3-hexyl thiophene) block copolymers using vinyl terminated poly(3-alkylthiophene) as precursors via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). However, polymer synthesized via ATRP contains metal impurity, which could have an effect on electrical properties of P3HT. we could successfully synthesize well-defined P3HT block copolymer containing poly(4-vinylpyridine) (P4VP) block via anionic polymerization. |
