제목 | The Effect of Semipermeable Membrane of Permeability Control Materials on the Improved-Osmotic Tablet System for Nifedipine Delivery |
초록 | Osmotic pump tablet system for oral administration has many advantages such as constant delivery rate or minimized fluctuation of drug concentration in plasma and thereby reduced risk of adverse reactions, extended action period or reduced inconvenience of frequent re-dose and hence improved patient compliance, and in vivo predictability of release rate on the basis of in vitro data. Nifedipine (ND) is a short-acting calcium antagonist formulated into several different oral preparation, each of which offers a distinct drug release profile. The aims of study were to prepare improved-osmotic tablet (IOT) by novel mould device, and to investigate the effect of different preparation parameter, such as coating process. The coating solution was composed of cellulose acetate as membrane material, polyethylene glycol 200, triacetin, KCl, triethyl citrate and butyryltri-n-hexyl citrate as permeability controller, and acetone, ethanol and water as solvent. The release patterns and the membrane morphology were observed by high performance liquid chromatography and scanning electron microscope.
