제목 Synthesis and properties of ∏-conjugated polymers containing quinoxaline with long chain alkyl group on skeleton
초록 Since the first report on electroluminescence (EL) of poly(p-phenylnenevinylene) (ppv), light emitting polymeric systems have gained great attention from both academia and industry. The ppv derivatives are generally expected to be suitable for EL diodes because they have good processability and intrinsically high durability. Recently, new p-conjugated poly(quinoxaline) and its derivatives have been synthesized. These polymers are expected as excellent el materials by combining them with other hole transporting polymers such as ppv. In this study, we designed and synthesized the novel polymeric material based on quinoxaline with long chain alkyl group.
The spectral properties of products so obtained were characterized by UV-visible and fluorescence spectroscopy. The UV-visible absorbance of these polymers showed absorption bands at ca. 432~440 nm, which corresponding to the ∏-∏* transition of the conjugated system. Their maximum fluorescence appeared at ca. 488 ~ 498 nm. The resulting polymers showed greenish blue emission in solution and an orange emission in solid state.
