제목 Evaluation of cell proliferation and adhesion on PE film surface with different wattability.
초록 When cells are suspended in such a medium and are placed on a synthetic substrate it is not the cell that immediately interact with the surface but the serum proteins. It has been recognized that adhesion and proliferation of cells on low density poly ethylene (LDPE) films depend on the surface properties. Plasma treatment of LDPE films was developed to increase surfaces wettability and to improve adhesion and proliferation of BMSCs. The modified surface were characterized by the measurement of the static contact angle, electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis (ESCA). The adhesion and proliferation of cells on LDPE films were characterized by MTT assay, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The water contact angle of the film surface was gradually decreased with increase of plasma treatment time. By analyzing the pattern of expression exhibited by several growth-associated genes (e.g., c-fos, c-myc, p53) in BMSCs following water contact angle.
