제목 Organic thin film transistors with polyimide gate insulator
초록 Since the first demonstration of field effect of small organic/polymeric materials, organic thin film transistor (OTFT) have attracted lots of attention due to the potential applications, such as low-cost, large area flexible displays and low-end electronics. The performance of OTFTs has been improved significantly in the past decade. However, those OTFTs comparable to a-Si:H TFT in performance are mainly fabricated with organic semiconductors and inorganic gate insulators. Although there has been a large amount of research on organic and polymeric semiconductors for channel materials, there has been a lack of research on organic gate insulators OTFTs.
In this presentation, we discuss the application of polymers as a gate insulator to the fabrication of OTFT as well as the research activities for organic electronics at Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT).
