Platinum nanoparticles (Pt nps) play an important role in modern nanotechnology. However the dispersions of Pt nps were complicated to the researchers. Industrially dispersing agents were accomplished to obtain well dispersed Pt nps. The present study discusses the feasible one step synthesis of well-dispersed Pt nps by an antioxidant, chlorogenic acid to avoid the present task. The Pt nps were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP). XRD pattens confirmed that the resulting Pt nps were in face-centered cubic structure with high crystalline nature. TEM studies confirmed the formation of 1-2 nm, uniform size Pt nps. ICP result confirmed the 100% of conversion of Pt ions into nanoparticles. |
