Microwave Assisted Synthesis of 99mTc-2,6-Diisopropylacetanilidoiminodiacetic Acid and Its Analogs: A Hepatobiliary Imaging Agent |

A rapid procedure for the preparation of 4 discrete compounds around the iminodiacetic acid (IDA) core as well as radiochemical labeling with 99mTc was established. Using a microwave reactor with a rotor carrying a number of reaction vessels, these IDA analogs were prepared conveniently in large scale with an average yield of 33% at a time. 99mTc-2,6-diisopropylacetanilidoiminodiacetic acid (99mTc-DISIDA) and its analogs were synthesized under microwave irradiation in very short reaction times. The microwave irradiation offers a rapid and efficient methodology for the formation of a considerable range of IDA derivatives. The method is expected to be applicable to the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals. |
