Perovskite materials are attracting much attention owing to their superior optoelectronic properties. Especially, the planar device structure, which can simplify a fabrication process, is a promising structure for commercialization. Despite of promising aspects of the planar structure, this structure has proven to be challenging due to the complicated crystal growth of the perovskite. Therefore, it is important to control nucleation of the perovskite for make pinhole-less films. We introduced hot air into CH3NH3PbI3-xClx perovskite solar cells to control the nucleation of the perovskite. Our champion device exhibits 19.0% of power conversion efficiency with the average efficiency of 17.6%. This simple quenching method provides a new approach for achieving highly efficient planar perovskite solar cells. |
