제목 Mechanical and thermal properties of epoxy composites reinforced  by multi-walled carbon nanotubes
초록 Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/epoxy composites were prepared by vacuum assisted resin transfer molding method. The mechanical properties, thermal stabilities, and fracture surface morphologies of these nanocomposites were evaluated for an epoxy resin with various contents of MWCNTs. The tensile and impact strengths of MWCNTs/epoxy composite with 0.3phr of MWCNTs were improved by 59 and 562%, respectively, compared to the epoxy composite without MWCNTs. Also, thermal stability of 0.3 phr MWCNTs/epoxy composite was relatively increased compared to other epoxy composites with MWCNTs. The enhancement of the mechanical and thermal properties of MWCNTs/epoxy nanocomposites was attributed to improved dispersibility and strong interfacial interaction between MWCNTs and the epoxy in prepared composites.
