Polymer semiconductors have attracted significant research attention because of the versatility of their chemical synthesis process, their processability from low-temperature solutions, and their mechanical flexibility, which render them the strongest candidates for realizing printed electronics. From a materials science point of view, many classes of conjugated organic semiconductors have been synthesized, and their electrochemical properties have been investigated to realize more efficient performance of organic electronic devices.
