제목 Toluene Adsorption Characters of PAN-Based Carbon Nanofibers by Electrospinning Method
초록 In this study, we prepared PAN-based nanofibers by electrospinning method. The electrospun PAN nanofibers were stabilized at 280℃ in the air atmosphere and then carbonized at 1000℃ in the nitrogen atmosphere. The PAN-based carbon nanofiber web was activated at different temperature with 30 vol.% steam for 30 min in nitrogen carrier gas. The activation temperatures were 800, 900 and 1000℃. The information of pore and surface of carbon nanofiber was characterized by N2 adsorption at 77 K and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), respectively. The adsorption of toluene on the activated nanofibers was measured by on-line adsorption and G.C. system with six-port. The surface area and pore volume of the adsorbents were increased with activation temperature. Results of XPS analysis revealed unique surface composition of PAN-based carbon nanafibers.
