제목 The hydroxyapatite prepared by spray pyrolysis from organic precursor solution
초록 The hydroxyapatite(Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2; HAp) is an inorganic compound whose composition is close to the compositions of the human hard tissues, such as the living bone and teeth. Thus the HAp is expected to be available as substitute materials for the human hard tissues.
The HAp particles have been prepared by various techniques, such as solid-state reaction, liquid-phase reaction and spray pyrolysis. The solid-state and liquid-phase reaction requires a high-temperature process with long time of period and repeating milling processes, the resulting particles have agglomeration and irregular morphology. On the other hand, spray pyrolysis is recommended as a promising method for producing the HAp particles with the controlled characteristics such as fine size, spherical shape, high purity, and non-aggregation characteristics. However, the final problem of spray pyrolysis is the potential of forming hollow and/or porous particles.
In the present work, the morphology control of the HAp particles in large-scale spray pyrolysis was attempted introducing polymeric precursor solution.
