Dielectric and Ferroelectric Properties of PMN-BT Thick Films deposited by Aerosol deposition method |

Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN) is a typical relaxed ferroelectric material with A(B'B")O3 type perovskite structure. General ferroelectric hysteresis loop is not observed at room temperature because of irregularity of B-site ion. BaTiO3 has high dielectric constant and piezoelectric properties which were used in a wide range of applications. Aerosol deposition method was described that powder were accelerated and collided, deposited on the substrate. AD films had dense structure and good adhesion property by these impacts. It is also possible to fabricate films up to several micrometers on a variety of substrates in a variety of powders. PMN-BT films were prepared by mixing PMN and BT powders at a ratio of 5: 5 using the advantage of AD. The PMN-BT films of 8 μm on Pt-substrate were fabricated by AD method. As-deposition films were showed X-ray diffraction peaks are broadened. As annealed at 450, 550, 650℃, their crystallinity was enhanced. PMN-BT Films annealed, hysteresis loops were improved, and the maximum value varies depending on the composition ratio. To compare with PMN films, PMN-BT films had higher polarization values and higher dielectric breakdown strength. |
