Precious metals usedin TWC include Pt, Pd, and Rh, and since Pd and Rh price increase for recentfive years compared to Pt price, it is necessary to develop a Pt-based catalystby reducing other two metals amounts. In addition, gasoline vehicle’s engineoperate at high temperatures above 900℃, so high performance and high thermal resistance TWC arerequired to maintain catalyst performance even at high temperatures. In thisstudy, by using a plate-shaped alumina support, catalyst with enhanced performanceand thermal stability was studied compared to when conventional alumina wasused. |
