제목 Synthesis of high luminescent CeO2Eu nanophosphor via spray pyrolysis for application to pearlescent pigments
초록 Nanophosphor particles have gained much attention due to their potential applications including displays, bio-imaging, solar cell, and security inks. Thus, many efforts have been dedicated to synthesize nanophosphor particles via various routes. To achieve high luminescence, phosphor materials should absorb light energy as much as possible and transfer the absorbed energy to activators. In this viewpoint, the choice of proper host materials or activators is critical for obtaining high luminescence. CeO2 is known as a potential host due to its strong absorption ability of UV light. In this work, nano-sized CeO2:Eu nanoparticles with high luminescence were synthesized by spray pyrolysis. The luminescence was optimized by controlling the combination of Eu3+ and monovalent metals (M+). The resulting phosphor nanoparticles were used for the preparation of luminescent pearlescent pigments.
